Choosing a Date
The number of participants enrolling in the retreats varies over the year. In the peak season
(December to March) the retreat is quite crowded, while from June to October it is very peaceful
and calm. If you can choose the time to come, you may want to pick the latter period.

Female (46%) and male (54%) participants have a fairly even share.
For most of the participants, a retreat at the International Dhamma Hermitage is their first contact
with meditation. However there is a more or less constant percentage (about 9%) of
"old friends" (participants who have done at least 3 retreats at the International
Dhamma Hermitage) supporting the newcomers.
